Good signs today...

i'm getting trail cam pics of 2-4 hens with no little ones on my farms. Not looking good for next year if this is any indication. no longbeards on any of my cams either.

We seem to have had the best hatch we've had in a decade on my farms... much needed. Lots of little ones running around. Looking forward to 2 years from now!

Saw 4 separate lone hens this morning, and not a single poult. I hope they were hidden that well, but I suspect not as I had binos scouring the ground.

Based on actual sightings and pics my area had an average hatch at best. Lots of poultless hens, lots of hens with 2 or 3. Average it out...maybe 1-2 poults per hen.

Throughout may and early june, I had several pics of what I assume was the same hen with 10-11 poults. I haven't gotten them on camera in about a month, just lone hens and gobblers.
I hope they just moved off and not all died.
They were bobwhite size in my last pictures.

I just cannot seem to find the right type of habitat to consistently hatch and raise broods.
This is the first time I've had evidence of poults in nine years on this place, but now they seem go be gone.
But just also have almost no budget to promote good habitat, just a tractor with certain implements, and fall food plot plantings.

What few poults I had are no longer showing up either. I'm getting plenty of pics of at least half a dozen hens traveling together with zero poults. Worries me
