I think some of those people are more of a Googan than a googan.
Why is jewelry, cell phones, make up, duck calls, and food allowed at a turkey show?
I guess money, but I sure do wish that whatever you were selling had to be turkey related. At least the shoot and scoot and gobbler mobile are turkey related.
This may have been my last year to go. Too much nonsense.

That would eliminate a lot of nonsense
I would love to had an air horn to blow in the ear of those googans howling at the MFK booth. Trying to talk with Tony Reynolds and they were looking at us and howling.

the duck and goose calls are annoying. I'm all for different kinds of hunting at the show but not to the extent that it drowns out the turkey stuff

I think most hunters call them "Elmer" as in Fudd!

They really seem to come out of the wood work during Turkey season......Sometimes I laugh so hard at them that tears come to my eyes,

especially some of the calls they use. :rotf:

Most stay at Unicoi State Park and Lodge where the show is held. Pretty sure they have 100 rooms available each night.

The "promotional" room rate in 2016 was $89/night.
 
every both I stoped at asked me the same thing "so yall big time turkey hunters?" By the 4th time I was just like "Nope, not at all actually"
