Got my DXT up for sell

That is the kind of feedback i want to hear. How did they compare and contrast?

The z7 felt like it had a weird draw cycle. Just didn't feel good to me.Almost like it wanted to creep with you. The DXT felt better, I like the thin bow.

Plus I don't care for the gridlock riser. But thats just a personal thing. I would shoot the z7 and see what you think about it. Alot of people like them, and some don't.

I've shot the Z7 Xtreme. I didn't care for it too much but that's just me. It has a very odd draw cycle...almost like you're drawing most of the poundage for 3/4 of the draw cycle then at the very end it goes over the hump. It doesn't build up to the peak poundage through the draw then hop over a hump...it's there from start to the hump. I liked the draw of the original Z7 better IMO.

I'm waiting for the Z7 EZ Draw and Z7 Magnum to come out to try them. They should be hitting dealer stores in about 2-3 weeks. I just came from Benton today and Jeff was on the phone with Mathews inquiring about them when I got there, so that's straight from the press booth.

My draw length varies bow company to bow company, but in general if I go by the label on the bow and not true AMO draw length, then I fall in the 28 to 28.5 range.

The Xtreme I shot was a 29" at 65#.

Im a true 28 on mathews. Thats with truball beast release. I love the DXT. Great size ata and weight. Shoots smooth and quiet especially with the hi tek string stop. I think the xtreme will be a great 28" bow with it being 28 ata. Plus I need to get under that mathews warranty.

Is $550 a good price for the bow with a g5 peep and limbsavers?

FWIW, I gave $350 for a used DXT on Archery Talk not long ago. It was left handed though. I would say the lowered the price a bit.

yeah, I havent seen them that low before. I thought about listing it but I dont want to have to deal with shipping, payment, and all that. I am old fashion. Face to face works just fine. I have bought stuff from ebay before though.

IMO. For selling a bow other than FTF, ebay is the way to go. Archery Talk is good for buying but seems hard to get anything out of one on there.
