what swamp said... I regret not mounting my first bird, a jake, all I saved was 2 tail feathers. The memory will last though. But my 1st longbeard mount is already on the wall, and 2nd one in progress. It's not hard to make a mount for the tail, beard, and spurs, and is open to your own creativity.

great bird. make sure you mount the tail.If you don't know ask around. I shot my first bird a few years ago and had no clue what I was doing so I cut the tail off at the base of the feathers instead of keeping it intact. ended up using hot glue with the fan to a piece of cardboard. thought it looked great until the next fan I did correctly. now looking at it the fan looks like something from one of my boys middle school projects.
