we drove by a small field that turkeys had been in lately,seen 3 hens and 1 jake in it,set up close starting calling nothing show up had been there awhile, we thought they had left we got up done a little scouting went back to truck put everything up drove by the field and they were still there!went back setup real close starting calling nothing showed up or made a sound until I try scratching in the leaves that's when we could hear it walking toward us it came in to my right my grandson was on my left couldn't move for the shot had us pinned down! he was really looking for that bird. he turn starting walking straight away when it move on out I was able to get may call hit it a few times he stop but didn't come back toward us until I starting scratching again he turn right around came back and we were ready 27yds 20ga #7 HW federal flight control hammer it! 16lbs double beard 5" and real good bumps for spurs haha grandson real happy.
