1983 24' Holiday Rambler Alumalite Travel Trailer --- $2,500 OBO

I am the second owner of this classic camper. The interior is in very good shape, it has been re-carpeted and re-upholstered and I put a very nice mattress on the double bed in the bedroom and it has a full length pull out couch.

I re-applied EPDM Rubber Roof Coating to the roof last year.

I replaced the tires a few years ago but if I were going to pull this camper regularly or for any distance I would replace the tires and re-pack the bearings…I've only used it at Ames Plantation so its only traveled from Rossville to LaGrange twice a year.

Everything currently works except for the refrigerator…it actually worked the last time I stayed in the camper but would not fire up recently…I honestly think it just needs the electrical connections cleaned…I'm not positive about that though.

Includes battery, receiver hitch, load levelers sway bars, small flat screen TV, DVD player, etc., etc., etc.

I know this is a bad picture...I'll upload more later....but if you want more details or to see it, PM me and we'll work something out.

Can you PM me some more pictures of the inside? Thanks

Those where the high class in their day . Most are built really well for a camper .

I'll probably regret selling it actually....I moved much closer to the lease and, honestly, don't even go hunting nearly as much as I used to...

And, at my age, I'm realizing I have too many "toys" that require upkeep and maintenance and so I need to start scaling back!!

Nice boat, 4 wheeler, camper, generators, e-bikes, tree-stands, bows and guns all collecting dust.....

I had some questions that I'll answer here..
  • I realize that I jumped the gun on the posting...I should have had pictures but I will add inside and outside pics ASAP...hopefully tomorrow.

  • The camper has heat, air, stove, oven, AC, water heater and holding tanks for fresh, gray and black water. I also have a couple of extra water pumps in the camper just in case...I won't go hunting unless I can take a quick shower first.

  • It has a private bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower....I've never personally used the toilet but I make sure its functional because my wife or niece may visit.

  • The only thing that I could not get to kick on last month was the refrigerator. We moved to Rossville 3 years ago and so I'm only about 25 minutes from Ames so I don't stay there like I used to when my home was 1.5 hours away. The refrigerator actually did work the last time I stayed in it but I just couldn't get it to kick on recently...my guess is its a fairly cheap fix but I wouldn't swear to it.

  • I pull the camper up to Ames every year before deer season and I leave it through turkey season but I've just not stayed in it since we moved to Rossville...that said, I would, and could, stay in it very comfortably tonight if I wanted to but because it's only 25 minutes away, I just drive home.

  • I'll leave all the pots, pans, silverware, fans, radio, etc. in it if the buyer wants them.

  • As mentioned above, it will also come with the hitch, stabilizers, sway bars, battery, battery charger, etc.

  • I'm obviously biased but I'd almost guarantee this will be the cleanest 40 year old camper you'll have ever seen.....probably cleaner than any10 year old camper out there.

    Thanks,
    David

Alot of times those refrigerators won't light if the trailer is not level . Is it not both gas/electric ? Also the pilot may be stopped up ...

So is it sold?
Probably....I've had guys from several hours away offer to send deposits but I don't want their money until I can send them interior pictures of the interior tomorrow....then they can be more confident and there wont be any mis-understandings.

I am confident that the interior pictures are not going to turn anyone off...its a nice camper.
