that is too funny, I pretty much stated the same thing in a text to a friend in Jacksonville last nightThe lady doing the sign language during the Star Spangled Banner looked like she rolled out of bed, grabbed some random clothes off the floor and showed up to sign on National TV.
What do a maggot and an Alabama fan have in common? They can both live off of a dead bear for years.
I think he's referring to the 2nd and 3rd generation bandwagoners that seem to inhabit every town in middle TN.That was a pretty good joke in 1999, but Bama has had a pretty good run for the past dozen or so years.
Humble words after a loss:
You've got me pegged.Surely you aren't one of these delusional bammers that thinks you are part of the team and have a vital role in these activities. I know the resident slow guy is probably walking around his trailer park 5 times a day thinking he is conditioning for spring practice, but that can't be the norm.
I'm happy for Stetson Bennett. The kid has worked his butt off and beat the odds to get himself into the position he was in to begin with.Seeing Bennett's emotions was a nice touch. He has been through a lot and had a huge monkey removed from his back, as did Kirby, although not a fan of his.
The pick 6 was just icing on the cake. Young is a very good college QB, but was severely limited when he couldn't outrun defenders. Welcome to the NFL.
Doesn't Saban sign elite wr every year? So why only two (one being a transfer) that was worth anything?I'm happy for Stetson Bennett. The kid has worked his butt off and beat the odds to get himself into the position he was in to begin with.
As far as Young being limited, when you have neither of the 2 1000yd receivers to throw to, there is no amount of running that was going to change anything. Inexperienced young WR's can't be thrown into the fire against a good defense and be expected to perform at the same level and with the same chemistry the 2 injured leading receivers had with the QB all year. Georgia knew there wasn't a consistent threat to take the top off their defense when Williams went down and could play downhill the rest of the game. It worked and they won the game.
Because this Alabama team played too close in majority of the games against decent competition to get the younger guys game reps.Doesn't Saban sign elite wr every year? So why only two (one being a transfer) that was worth anything?
Oh my… gold I say. Pure GOLD!Because this Alabama team played too close in majority of the games against decent competition to get the younger guys game reps.
You can be elite in HS all you want but without real game experience against elite college competition it won't make a difference 99% of the time.
Got to have reps to get timing, learn to create separation, etc. You must not have played football.
It's gold to be enlightened about things you are oblivious to. I'm glad I can fill in the voids for you!Oh my… gold I say. Pure GOLD!
Also, I'll bump this post for you next year and years after when what I've said becomes reality just as a friendly reminder.Oh my… gold I say. Pure GOLD!

Young lost his two "leading receivers". Couldn't "take the top of defense." Georgia still can't take the top off the defense, and probably never will.I'm happy for Stetson Bennett. The kid has worked his butt off and beat the odds to get himself into the position he was in to begin with.

I has crayons too!!Young lost his two "leading receivers". Couldn't "take the top of defense." Georgia still can't take the top off the defense, and probably never will.
And CJ Stroud lost two first round WRs, opt outs to the draft. He wasn't limited. 572 yards, 6 TDs.
