Just got my wedge and walnut slate in from David and I gotta say I'm very pleased. Not handled a slate until this one that's is so easy to use and is almost as loud as a glass or can easily hit your soft yelps. Usually there's that one sweet spot on the pots but this one has the same sound all the way around.

I'm thinking about the crystal mistress or twisted sister

I picked up his slate last year and like it a lot. The only two pot calls I carry are his slate and Crystal Mistress. They're both capable of sounding a whole lot better than I can run them...

Well I just ordered the crystal mistress and twisted sister. Buddy of mine was looking at them too so we will have both. I'm sure one will seem better to each of us than the other so we should be good to go

I bought the crystal mistress last year and love it. Gonna swing by his booth at the convention and check out the twisted sister. If anybody has CM and TS what's the difference in the sound?

The TS has more rasp where the CM is more clear. IMO
