Hanging a bow up

I have a hook on my closet shelving . I hang my bow on the hook by the cam . Could this have a negative effect on the bow over time ? I have done it with all my bows and never thought about it till the other day it just came to me . I don't see that it would but thought I'd ask .

No problem, unless your attaching a 10lbs weight to the bow. That is how I hang all of by bows.

Should be fine. Todays bows are pretty strong. A lot of old recurve limb bows were ruined by standing them on the end and leaning against a wall or corner. But compounds are much stronger and the limbs are much more stable.

That's how the bow shops hang them , and it has no effect on the Bows .
