I live very near to Happy Hollow and drive by it often, and have wondered what it would be like. Now I don't wonder at all! I wouldn't let 10 hunters on there at any one time much less 50.

Per suggestion of TNDeer member scn, I called TWRA's Central Office and left a message for Richard Kirk to call. I'm still waiting on his return call.

I spoke with Richard Kirk from TWRA's Region 2 office today about Happy Hollow WMA. He acknowledged that with it being a new WMA, arriving at the Quota Hunt numbers was an estimated guess at best. They arrived at a 50 hunter quota per hunt with the assumption that only 25-30 would show up. Also, the limited access to the WMA weighed in their decision. He assured me that those numbers would be tweaked based on hunter participation during the hunts as well as hunter comments. I guess time will tell.

No fields or flat openings so to speak, so I would suspect none will.
