I have a few times . I have allot of opportunities to shoot deer throughout the season , so I'll pass up does unless I need meat in the freezer (we have an equal buck/doe ratio where I hunt). I like killing them when I can let em' hang a couple of days before I process them . It was 12 degrees when I shot my buck last year .
If I see a good buck opening day , it's game on though .

I think I killed a deer on opening day of archery season for 7 years in a row.

Started going to LBL for the opener and killed a couple but then stopped.

Still have a blast every year though.
