Holly tree??

Is this a type of holly tree? Do the wild ones produce berries? Do deer eat the berries or leaves? I was reading and found articles saying deer like them.and other articles that said deer doesn't touch them

American Holly, a native species, and yes they will grow red berries. In South Alabama I would often find scrapes underneath them. Here in west Tennessee, I've never seen deer use them.
 
Only deer use I've seen for Hollies is as a species bucks will make rubs on. They are a preferred signpost rub tree in my area.
 
Same observations as others above. Bird value is high, other game not.

They are a some what invasive, shade tolerant tree. Birds spread seed very fast!

My son and I spent four hours killing American holly and privet bushes last Saturday.
