Homemade salsa

Made 7 quarts yesterday, first time using romas for salsa. Tried it today, not bad.

Love homemade salsa....only problem with homemade salsa is that once you eat it the thick store bought stuff is never the same.
Dont really care for store bought anymore.

I do that too but we like it now after eating it for years.

Will probably be making more Friday. May have enough peppers for another 6 or 7 quarts. One and a half quarts of the stuff we just made is already gone.

Only got 5 more quarts of salsa out of this last picking, but did make homemade lasagna sauce too. Something going on with my pepper plants.

We make chunky salsa and eat it with scoop chips. We also make chilli base and spaghetti sauce.
