hope yall didnt pull your pepper plants yet

this time of year its perfect weather for them and theyl put on a bumper of hot and bells.

man I've been gifting habaneros to anyone that wants some. I planted them they are just too hot. Let me know if you are near memphis and want to come get some. send me a pm and I can bag some and set them on the porch for you.
 
3 years ago i left mine till the day before it was supposed to frost..we canned bunch and i hung the rest in the barn to dry out and ground themin the blender later,,I still have 6 quarts canned and 3 pints of ground ,,

yep frost will kill them and make the peppers wilt. i wish i had a warm place to pot and save my big bell plants and transplant them in spring.
 
i picked up 2 pepper plants somewhere (home depot/walmarts/local nursery) just to "fill out the end of a row" . These pepper plants make tons of long, skinny, green peppers that turn red. And they are so HOT , even my son can't eat one, and he'll eat anything hot. Best I can guess, is they are Tai Chillies .

My bananna peppers did extremely well this year too, and had an unusually sweet taste this year.

if they are longer than 2" probably cayenne, probably dragon. those are the ones i usually grow. about 50k scoville, not too bad. cayenne and jalepeno probably the two most flavorable.

They look like Thai Chilli, but I guess they could be cayenne. They look similar to my cowhorn peppers, but skinnier

Our bells are so loaded they just look like a pile of matter.

This is where most of our go! Stuffed bells, several different recipes. This one is ground bison with long grain and wild rice and cheese.
Forgot about my poblano's they are hidden in the tomato beds and have fallen over hanging outside the beds.
