Horrifying Is All!

I am not a UT fan at all, although I do have a begrudging respect for the men's basketball program….i will say this: they are getting n calls at all.

And apparently, something is different in the depth perception in the facility as well. EVERYTHING they shot in the first half came up short…3's, free throws, mid range jumpers, layups…EVERYTHING.
I wondered if they expended so much energy on Kentucky, that their legs were tired. We'll never know what happened. They tied Houston the second half - that first 10 minutes or so of the first half was brutal. As you said, every shot - short. And so many missed free throws. WOW.

UT looked like I expected Purdue to play, I really thought Purdue would be the one to lose by 15+. Let UT play Houston again and it wouldn't be the same game, but I do think Houston is the better team overall. Still, Duke is heads and shoulders above the rest.

Four #1 seeds in the Final Four...it's happened only one other time in 2008.

It's not original to me as I saw it elsewhere, but it is exactly what is happening to the game today, and that is the era of a Cinderella team making a run is in the past with NIL and players hopping teams.

I saw where one team that made the tourney is losing all 5 starters to the portal. It's the Yankees and Dodgers scenario in that the top teams will spend the $$$ to get the one player they need to fill a hole. We are in a free agency system with no boundaries.

The fans of schools get caught up in their players, but most times the players only want the $$$.

Free agency killed MLB for me. To root for a guy for a few years, then all of a sudden he was playing for a heated rival didn't set well for me.
