if there is more than one gobbler I always cut the hen off every call she makes I make, if he answers me in the tree when he has hens a lot of times he will hit the ground first and come to the decoy while his girlfriends watch him die from the tree. worked on juvi last Saturday and several in the past

Hens never made a sound once they hit the ground. I have also had success getting hens fired up, but these didn't give me the chance.

We stayed in the area for three hours. The gobblers never made another peep!

As like others have mentioned its hard to tell someone what you need to do in any situation. You try things, some work others dont. What you can do is take what they have just done and set a trap. The next time you get on them if you know exactly where they are get 100-150 yards from them. While its still really dark do a frightened hen fly down/away. This will wake the birds up yes but you want them to know your there and time will not be on your side. Once you have called put them away and make a loop around them using the dark for cover. Once you are on the other side of them they will fly down and come to you. You are basically replicating the last hunt but doing it early so you can get around them while they are still in the tree. It sounds crazy but Ive killed a lot doing this. Good luck

I put it too em. The loudest with the most and the first on the ground. I may move 10 times but if he will keep gobbling so I can keep up with him theres a very good chance hes leaving with me.
