I haven't been on in a while. Just wondering how everyone is doing out there? I've killed 3 does and one smaller 8 point. I took off the second week of season and hunted all week. Anyone kill any big one's yet?

Awesome, have not killed a deer but have lost count on how many deer I have passed that have been less than 20 yards. Over 30 chances at bucks. Only an opportunity at one good deer, 44 yards wide open, should have shot but there were 2 bigger ones with him I was hoping to get a chance at and didn't.
I passed this one.

a few I have seen

^^^^ Cool pics!

My season did not start off as planned. I am sitting on the only acorns around and the deer are staying in the thicket and just eating the bushes. I really don't know what they are eating in there, but they arent coming out. I tryed to get in there with them to no avail. 10 years ago this spot would produce 15 deer per hunt to look at. Over the past 3 years it has rapidly declined. May remember me saying a guy on the back side of the mountain/hill shot one with a rifle on opening day.I have seen 7 deer all season and took one of them. I haven't seen anything my last two hunts. Been holding off going to my other farm for muzzleloader and needless to say, couldn't be happier its next weekend.

With my move to South Carolina I have only been back to Tennessee twice since the season has opened. First time was to mow the lawn and make sure the house was ready to sell.

Second time was to get a 1 day hunt in. I saw a spike in the morning within 10 yards, drew and got hung up in my safety harness when I turned to get into position for the shot. Evening hunt seen 4 does but out of range.

For a 1 day hunt I was happy to see that many deer.

Good luck to all

Next weekend? I think it will be the weekend after that?

Hunting has been good so far though. Eventhough I have not pulled the trigger yet I have seen more deer and more rack bucks than I usually do. The big one will eventually make a mistake...

Been pretty slow for me. First few weeks were rough with only a couple of deer sightings. Shot a doe earlier in the week so hoping this will kick start my season. going the next 2 days

Typical... Although seeing more shooter bucks than usual. No complaining here...they just have to cooperate a bit more...

Killed a spike and pulled back on a mature doe this evening only to find out my my platform was too low and my cam was resting on my rail...seeing deer when I get to go

It has been slow. I have killed 2 but at least half the time I don't even see a deer from the stand. Movement seems to be on and off. I have also been moving around a lot and doing a lot of midday scouting to try and figure out where the deer are. They are there, I'm just not seeing em as much. Everything is late though, most leaves are still green and it was until recently sweaty hot outside. Hope to start seeing some more action soon, itching to get a big nanner or two on the ground before I start holding off for bucks when the rut picks up.

been a good season so far. haven't shot any but didn't really want to shoot a doe. and nothing mature enough that's been close enough to shoot so far. have not been skunked yet my slowest hunt was Monday morning only saw 3 doe and a spike. looking forward to have a gun in my hand though. haven't even hunted our best farm and on the farms we've been on haven't hunted any of our really good spots.

Very good! Seeing deer usually every sit, and actually seeing several bucks. Most of those bucks are small, but have seen a few shooters. Was able to kill one good deer on state ground, and have taken one doe off my lease so far.

I've drawn back on more deer and had something goofy happen causing a shot not to be taken more so than I can remember. I'm on all kinds of deer, it just hasn't come together yetthe challenge of archery.....any of these deer would easily be dead with a firearm.

Have seen a good number at our place in Hardin. All healthy deer, nothing BIG but it is still so dense difficuly to see or out of range. I have taken a nice 6 point a doe and a turkey. Agree if it was firearm season ........ full locker by now.

Only hunted opening wknd. Passed on some does so my son could get one with Xbow, and he did out of the blind. Not had time go since. But son killing one mad it a great bow season thus far.

I have seen a few smaller bucks. That 8 point was the only decent one i've seen. I bow hunt up till Rifle season. Then hunt with my 25-06 some, then go back to my Bow. I'm gonna go to Middle/West TN soon. I love going to Smith county and places like that. Lots more deer there than here in Unit A in Cumberland County. I hunt some in Morgan County too. I hope everyone has a great season.
