How long do I wait??

Every 12-14 days for me. I wait til the wind is right before I go check em. Always spray boots and clothes with cover scent before walkin in. Sometimes check em sooner if its raining or gonna rain.

I place a trophy rock and 50 lbs. of corn at each camera. The batteries last quite a while in mine. After 2 weeks I usually get 1100 pictures and all the corn is gone at an active station. I try to swap cards every week but that's not always possible. Guess it really depends on your camera. I like to see when the first deer show up after I leave. It's rarely more than a few minutes so I don't really worry about pressuring them. They associate my 4 runner with dinner.

If it was spring/ early summer I would check them every week.

Just putting one out a few weeks before the season opens I would probably only check it once to minimize scent/disturbance.

Yep, good guideline.

Ditto Columbia...I checked mine Thursday n again Saturday I had one of the biggest bucks I've ever had on film late Thursday night n early Saturday a.m.

Every couple weeks or if I'm bored ever week... :D

I had a couple does and a small 6 pt come onto my camera site within an hour after I left it. I've heard either way, but I don't know if it hurts as bad as some say it does. At least that's my experience thus far..

I check my cams weekly.

I got pictures of a 6 year-old buck at one salt lick 30 minutes before I checked the cam and only an hour after I checked the cam. In fact, he probably watched me check the cam.

The deer haven't learned to associate my visits to the cams with danger. They've seen/smelled me do it 6 months out of the year every year for almost two decade.

Great! Thanks everyone! I may just get out there today in the rain. SO it'll calm my curiosity and help me wait til October before checking again.

What if your cameras are in bad locations? What if one or more of them stopped working? How are you going to know?

about every 2 weeks myself. I ride in on my 4 wheeler and the deer or turkey don't knowledge me being there a lot of time they just keep doing there thing unless I stop then they start working there way bay to some cover.

2-4 weeks. Going to check mine sat morning when I hang my last stand, and my cam has been there for 5 weeks come saturday morning. Ill swap the cards and not step foot back in there till Sept. 24 o ya

Just a chance you have to take, with the camera stopping working, that is. Hopefully he bought a good camera and picked a good spot, to put it at.
