I went back and looked at the overall season stats for both teams. I really dont see a way that BOTH of these teams can lose. Not pulling for either. I will watch in that off chance they BOTH lose. Maybe I missed something...a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while.

So who do you think should be playing for the NC? Serious question
Top 4 teams based on Rankings. Coin Flip between the 4th and 5th team this year sorta like they did it last year. Committee decides based on the invite system. You like its been done for awhile now? That or expand it out to 6 teams. 6 feels just OK if you are going to do a expansion. NO ONE saw the bottom half as serious contenders for the NC. NO ONE

If they are going to proceed with this 12 team system they need to give a BYE to the top seeded teams in the first round. Let all the bottom feeders duke it out and get them out of the way. Then pit the next rounders up against the top seeded teams. That way we do not run into another OSU V Oregon situation EVER again in the second round. THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. I am sure that will be hot topic ALL during the off season.

When Saban runs the playoff committee maybe you can convince him to only go with 4. Those bottom feeders Notre Lame and OSU did duke it out and are the ones still standing. I do agree the top 4 ranked should be the ones with the byes.

So can you give me names of the teams that you think should be in the NC? Like you always say, "just win out."

The top 4 teams that were based on the rankings????? You could have easily gone to the NCAA rankings and looked that up.

The Top 4 teams that were Ranked were Oregon , Georgia , Texas , and Penn State. One could make a argument that ND could get the nod since they were ranked 5th since the committee laid foundation for it last year and Voted in the 5th ranked team ALABAMA.

There wasn't a coin flip last year. A bunch of dumbasses left an UNDEFEATED Power 5 Conference CHAMPION out and put an undeserving team in. You are only ok with it because it benefited you. Have some principles. And no, that's not the guy that paddled you every day because you were a clown. That's principal.

Everyone is pushing Saban to run the playoff committee and that is coming from pretty high up people. It needs to get fixed.
I do NOT know why the man would do it. Its got to have one of the sweetest retirement gigs of a lifetime. He has his dealerships, his ad revenue and the ESPN contract and all of the other money getting thrown at him. Plus he has done well with his investments. I doubt he works very hard at any of these and you can tell he does not have any stress putting up with Pat. So I do not know why he would do it. Unless he is so passionate about it and really wants to make a difference.

Well 4 teams don't play in a national championship, and of the 4 teams you listed , none of them made it to the NC. So can you give me the names of the 2 teams you think should be in the NC?

Come on man he just don't want the ranking committee fraud to ever be out on blast again. The ranking committee must be bullchit. Because these two teams playing for the championship, between the two of them beat all 4 top ranked teams. If the ranking committee gets exposed Alabama won't be in the top 4 at the beginning of each season. Hell the way this committee works Al will probably be ranked #1 at the start of 2025 season. Ahead of Oregon and Michigan.

Here's an interesting stat for the OSU haters that say they "get every call" and the refs are always on their side. OSU was dead last in the NCAA in penalties called against the opposing team, and during the playoffs they have had 16 (?) sacks and zero holding calls against their offensive opponents. I also think they have the most penalized defensive back in college football.
As for the game, I do think OSU is the better team and will win, but ND has a very good defense, so it's possible they keep it close. I did say that about UT though too, and that didn't happen.
College football playoff history also says that it will be a blowout…average margin of victory in the last 10 years is over 21 points. That's 3 touchdowns!

OSU 24 ND 10.

It was obvious for years that a certain retired $EC coach had the $EC officials on retainer/payroll. His secondary coaches even coached the DBs to interfere with receivers because "they won't call pass interference on us." I hope none of these haters are fans of that team.

Alabama had almost identical stats for several years and got the same reputation of refs always calling it their way (including no holding calls at the time when Bama had an elite defensive line and pass rush). Fans or haters often see things one way instead of trying to take an unbiased view of reality.

A lot of people will argue something when they don't even know the actual rule.

I work with a Memphis fan. Every time Memphis loses in football and basketball he blames the refs. Every time the SEC wins a game it's because of the refs.
I'm not saying to don't happen because I'm sure it has. Truth being told every team has benefited and every team has been hurt by bad calls.
Most games I watch the refs make several bad calls on both teams during a game.

Wait wait wait a minute…are you sure he wasn't a UK basketball fan? They are the only ones that I have seen blame the refs like that! 😂
