This is the time of year when everybody and their brother swamps the archery shops wanting work done on their bows, and new arrows, and old arrows refletched.
Sometimes in a store with just one person, it can be a hassle. Between selling new bows, setting them up, helping other customers with their bows and such...yeah arrow fletching some times gets put on the back burner this time of year.
LOL I got a discount the other day when I went and bought a half dozen shafts. They asked me if I wanted them fletched and I said no, that I'd do that at home. He wiped his brow and said "whew...just for that I'll knock a few dollars off the shafts" and he pointed to a stack of the ones he already had backed up on him.
Anyway, a good jig is all you need. Like someone else said, the Bitz jigs are the best but costly. You can get them used for $50 (jig and clamp) at Benton Shooters though. I personally have 3 Bitz jigs and 1 Bohning that is a Bitz copy and it works just as good. You can nearly buy 3 of them for what one Bitz costs new. But this time of year I make a little money myself refletching for my buddies at work. That's actually how I got my jigs now...just used the money to get another jig so I could do more arrows at the same time.
