BSK said:Once the rut approaches, most of my cameras are on scrapes. But I hate that period between the time deer stop using salt-licks intensively and before the bucks start using scrapes (in most of the areas I work, that period is mid-September to mid-October). I find monitoring food plots a perfect way to fill in that gap, and the use of flash extenders makes it possible to get good data from food plots with black-flash cams.
