How many longbeards have you killed? I have killed 24 so far, hopefully will add 4 to it this year.

This is just my 3rd year of hunting them and I haven't had a "seasoned vet" to go with and show me the ropes. I'm pretty much still in the trial and error phase.......please tell me it gets easier....

It actually doesn't get easier you just get better, took me 5 or 6 years to kill my first one, I was 18. From then on I just got to be a better hunter. I would like to go and show what I know but its hard for me go a 3 hours away.

Been huntin 2 full seasons on my own after a few hunts 3 yrs ago with a buddy showin me the ropes,that got my fire burnin! Killed one on my 3rd hunt with him, and have taken my limit the past 2 seasons on my on, as well as callin in a couple of birds for friends!

No exact #s on longbeards, but definatly over 20 longbeards and a couple jakes.
Pretty good numbers when i think about it. I think this will be my 8th season and I pretty much taught myself everything about turkey and deer hunting.

THis isnt an exact number and remember I have been hunting for many, many years. I would say anywhere from 160 to 200 longbeards. Also I hunt 4 to 5 states a spring and usually limit out in everyone. I have never killed a jake before, but I did shoot at one and missed.

Somewhere around 200. I hunt as many as 6 states a year sometimes, that goes a LONG way toward raising your kill numbers!

Probably around 75, but quit counting years ago. I have more fun calling them into gun range and passing them up to hunt again nowadays... Guess I've had well over 500-600 I've called to easy killing distance.

I'll usually kill one a year now, just to keep my streak going- at least one turkey every year in TN since 1992
