how many loads with your brass

I would think there are a lot if ifs, such as the cal, the load ect. I know you are talking about a 40-65 and I would think you could get alot of reloads with black powder.

Also bring into play re-sizing. I would go maybe 20. You are getting what, over 2500 FPS, that correct?

the guys out west are telling that over 100 is no problem with black powder if cases are properly annealed, the bullets we are shooting have a muzzle velocity of 12-1300 fps

I guess 100 shots is possible. How often do you think the cases need to be annealed...That is, after how many resizings.

I've heard some of those guys don't resize....maybe just an ever so slight crimp to hold the bullet in.

I anneal after every firing to maintain hopefully the brass hardness for each firing

some do not resize at all, they call it "slip fitting the bullet", the cast bullet is hand slide into case, maximum length cartridge to force bullet into lands so to better center bullet

it all depends upon what your Black Powder rifle likes, so they say

CL, That FPS is a surprise, with the annealing you will get probably around 50 and up firings. How often you trim? Isn't this the rifle you are getting that amazing accuracy with, out to 300 yards? I must be on wrong brain thread here.

I have not had to trim since the initial trimming, I am at my 3rd or 4th firing of my brass, I anneal after every firing, yes its the rifle that I am shooting for accuracy, I will be moving to 500 yards before the end of April
