How many more chances does CBJ get??

It ALL goes back to the OLine.

The FG instead of going for TD in the OK game, not going for two against UF, Dobb's throwing problems, the conservative play-calling, the D getting gassed in the 4th QTR, etc.! All of it can be laid at the feet of poor OLine play. Butch doesn't trust them. DeBord doesn't trust them. And Dobb's doesn't trust them. Hard to go through progressions when he has to keep his head on a swivel to see where the pressure is coming from. Hard to hit an open WR (the few chances that happens) when a DLineman is bearing down on you and make you rush the throw.

It is what it is.

The difference in the Arky game is the better team won. We were flat whipped. With that said, Williams turnover inside the 10 or whatever, was a killer. And I have no idea why Dobbs suddenly reverted back to his pre-Gator game self and stopped running. There were several opportunities for big gains had he kept on the zone read instead of giving to the TB.

Oh well. Butch will get two more years, and we will just have to live with it. DeBord needs to go. It will be interesting to see what happens with the assistant coaches after the season.

UF oline has a fordahm transfer and freshman playing. Thought that was the weak link to our offense. Our OLINE coach has worked wonders so far with them. But that could change quick with a injury or two. With TN I think it is play calling instead of the oline. You have a mobile qb, USE him for that. Only problem is he is ONLY mobile and cant make consistent throws. Your coaches should put him in position to be successful with PLAYCALLING. IMO

dobbs can't throw outside the numbers. this allows the defense to stack the middle and stop the run. dormady has the arm and quick release to keep the secondary honest

really? if dormady is the QB, we have a better chance of beating OK and UF?

come on. i'm not saying Dobbs has a cannon, but he has plenty of arm and can make all the throws he needs to make. if he throws it outside the numbers, which freshman is he going to throw it to, the true freshman, or the true freshman that was recruited as a QB? how long is he going to have to stand in the pocket and throw it before he gets creamed, 1.5 seconds?

i know everybody is mad. i'm upset too. but i've listened to my co-worker expound on the phone to somebody about what's wrong with UT for 30 minutes now. i actually heard him just say "i wish we would fire Butch and hire Dabo Sweeney from Clemson". us fans are guilty of thinking we know more about what to do than anybody else, when that just isn't true.

the cold hard fact is, we are plain old fashioned not as good as the hype. not at coach, not at receiver, not in the secondary or the LB's. maybe they will get better next year. maybe they'll fire butch and start dormady. it doesn't really matter, cause that wouldn't make anybody happy either. in the meantime, i'll put on my Orange on Saturday and pull for us to beat the Dogs.

Go Vols.

Get over it failunteer fans, you're stuck with the used car salesman for at least another year. No matter what.

I say we roll with him for 3 more years. He'll figure it out eventually....honestly this year isn't hard to take I'm used to it. As the Corey Smith song goes "Maybe Next Year"

Yep.... Not too many teams pay a 10 million dollar buy out.... :tu:

Some pay 6 - 8 million :rotf: :tu:
Tennessee should keep Jones at least 2 more years. Someone should check the career of Frank Beamer at Virginia Tech.
