Wife and I went out this afternoon and shot for awhile. I put a new sight on right after Christmas and this has been the first time to really see about getting it adjusted. I don't know if it is because I changed something, or I could be imagining that, but it seems like my bow is ALOT louder now.
What I'm wondering, how much will the sound affect me during hunting season. Is it better to have a quieter bow with a slower FPS, or a louder bow with a faster FPS? Is it personal choice, or is there actually something behind my thinking? If there is something I can do to quieten it, what would you advise? I've been told the first thing I should do is a string decelerator.
Setup:
PSE Stinger, 28" draw, 62#, Trophy Ridge Hitman 5 pin sight, APEX quiver (which I already take off to shoot because it is REALLY loud), NAP Quicktune rest, Limbsaver X coil stabilizer and string leaches...
