What is the best method to sight in a Burris FastFire III?
My Mossberg 835 mounting plate finally came in today!

I was thinking of starting with normal small game #6 at 20yds to get it roughly adjusted, then moving to 30.
Then switch to my LongBeards to fine tune at 40yds. (These things are too expensive to just blast away with.)

Anyone have any suggestions?

I started with bore sighting, then shot it at 10 yards with dove loads to get point of impact, after that it was really easy.

No real way to boresight this sucker (unless I go buy one).

Bolt actions and MZ are easy! Pull the bolt or plug and look down the barrel.

I bought this used last year and haven't even fired it yet. Won't hurt to box a box of lightweight lodas and get the feel for it.

get yourself a laser bore sighter, looks just like a shotgun shell, put the battery in it and put it in your gun, then adjust windage and elevation to match red dots. Then sight in on a 1 inch square at 10 to 12 yards, using 2 3/4 shells, any size shot, then go to 40 yards.
