Surprised this hasn't been posted. Georgia kicks him off the team for felony assault (beating up his girlfriend) not to mention theft charges for double cashing checks, but no worries! He can play ball so they will take him at alabama! No wonder Nick Satan was giving that feel good speech about second chances. I know Bandwagon Nation supports everything Nick does so I'm sure they will love this. Do those alabama shirts feel slimy when you put them on? What a disgrace this program has become.

Below is the part of the story that stood out to me. The University of Alabama spokeswoman says that the decision to admit him into the university had nothing to do with football. I don't buy that, but what really surprised me is that she basically said they would have no problem admitting someone in his situation to the university. In other words, his situation is no big deal to the University of Alabama. I was wondering how the women on the University of Alabama campus feel about that.

On Wednesday, Alabama spokeswoman Deborah Lane said Taylor's application for admission was evaluated like any other student who faced past legal issues.

"Jonathan Taylor was admitted to the University of Alabama following the same procedures that the UA Admissions office uses to evaluate any student who has dealt with legal issues," Lane said in a statement. "The admissions process includes representatives from academic, legal, student affairs, student conduct, UAPD and counseling. Athletics is not involved in the admissions process. Taylor's continued enrollment depends on his ability to fulfill all requirements the university has specifically mandated for him during his time as a UA student."

Don't you remember Saban's Speech about giving second chances?? for dumb college kid mistakes? I guess what he really should have said was he believes in second chances From guys with a few felony changes lol

Now,you see for part of the reason I've never liked Alabama, they are disgraceful to college football.Terrible ethic's and mostly terrible fans, just listen to the Finebaum call in if you dont believe me!!

I must've missed it. It made it off the front page fast. It deserves a second look anyway. I think it should be against the rules for a conference foe to take a player dimissed from another conference team for misconduct. Now if Georgia plays the Updykes for the SEC Championship bammer will use this thug against UGA. After UGA did the RIGHT thing. The whole thing stinks.

Couldn't have said it better, but as long as they win Updyke Nation will grow.

Go ahead and say what you want. No school is immune. Hopefully, you're all puked out from the Fulmer years. I doubt it, but you should be. Every other fanbase is.

No school is immune to taking on a known thief/woman beater with felony charges still pending against him???? I disagree. Recruiting a kid that turns out to be trouble is one thing. This is completely different and low even for the Updykes.

Starting in 2015 Vols won't be young, you can only wish we were after we leave stinky swamp

He was just making that excuse on talk radio this week for next years team..... :tu: He stated that they will still be the youngest team in college football next season and have growing pains. Might want to keep up with the Vols.... :smash:
