Now I know everyone is tired of me saying this but I feel I need to get a point across. Hunting is a given right and if your not enjoying it your doing it for the wrong reasons. I would never tell someone how they should hunt. You do you. Hunting to me is what keeps me going. I have a hunting partner that has hunted with me for the last 15 years ( I think) he and I think and believe in the same way of hunting. We know each others moves. This is a blessing.
Now we may not agree on everything but we find mutual ground. I don't tell people you must hunt a certain way or how. Bow Muzzleloader and Gun is my way but if you don't that's perfectly fine. We are not alike and I'm glad but here we are all hunters. So my saying of HUNT YOUR HUNT is what I mean by it. Enjoy what we all love and do it your way.🦌

Agree 100%. You are blessed to have a hunting partner! I've been hunting my own hunt since I started hunting on my own. Never cared how anyone else hunted (unless they are trespassing, poaching or illegally baiting near my property). You do you boo 🤣

I couldn't agree more.

I'm lucky that all my "hunting buddies" are family, and we hunt cooperatively. And by that I mean we share information about deer seen and discuss before every hunt where everyone is going. The only "non-negotiable" is that I always get to choose my stand last. Ever since I started choosing my stand after everyone else has chosen theirs, I've been freakishly successful. I suspect it is because the other hunters choose the obvious locations - places I would have hunted - which forces me to think outside-the-box and choose experimental locations.

I don't think anyone disagrees with you on this. I haven't seen anyone trying to tell someone how to hunt. People just have opinions on the future of the thing we all love so much. Doesn't mean we aren't on the same team.
Unless you're a Seek One fan. THEN there's going to be trouble! ;)

I'm not pointing fingers at all. Please forgive me. I just want people to go back to enjoying what we all love. To much stress and peer pressure. Just because I do it this way does not make it right it's just right for me.

I agree with you. As long as someone is hunting by legal means then it's none of my business what they do or how they hunt.
I hear that...
Pretty well have my wife for a hunting partner. We have the same ideas of what we want out of our hunting. My daughters hunted with me some when they were growing up, and now my son is getting into it more.
I love a family that hunts together. My wife will do archery season and then it's over for her. She still works so I let her call the shots on her hunting.😉

My wife went with me last year for the first time. I tried to talk her into shooting but she wasn't up for it just yet. She doesn't mind eating them and won't even mind killing one but she said if she had practiced before season she would've felt better about it. So that's what we'll do this offseason. The morning she went ended up being the best day for the year as far as sightings go. Ended up seeing 9 bucks and 9 does.

That's how my wife was years ago. She practiced with me for 4 yrs till she went and shot a deer with her bow.

My wife is the best shot I've ever been around. But she doesn't hunt a lot but I love those days she wants to go.

In my experience girls are better shots. My wife isn't too bad, my daughters, all 3 of them are very good shots. My son is not as good as they were at his age, but he is autistic too though, so maybe that's a factor...

Some of my favorite memories are getting ready for deer season and my wife and girls all of a sudden want to shot with me or should I say against me.🎯🙂
My girls never tried me, but my two older daughters humiliated their then boyfriends, now their husbands, shooting tannerite targets with my rock river varmint on a couple occasions. The girls never miss, always connect on first try, even my youngest daughter. The boys never hit first try. Second son in law was in national guard qualified on rifle, last time around think he shot half a 20 rd mag before he connected. I was calling his shots for him and it was all I could do not to laugh.
