Tell me if y'all think this is hunter harassment. We hunt at the end of a road that dead ends. There is nothing past the end of the road. The only people that drive anywhere close are people that live towards the end of it. There's one particular guy that we have always had problems with. He knows where we hunt. The field that we hunt is several hundred yards long and can be easily seen from the road. I have witnessed on many occasions deer running into the woods when someone drives to the end of this road. This one guy does this A LOT. I'm not hunting back there this evening but my niece is and she's trying to kill her first buck. I have witnessed him drive to the end of the road 4 times this evening, rev his truck, turn around and go back to his house. Like I said, he knows we hunt back there. According to what I've read, this is hunter harassment. I just wanted to get y'all's opinion. This is not my property, but I've had permission from the landowner to hunt there for several years.

That may be his intent, but if he is not leaving his truck or the road you would have a very difficult time getting a charge. If TN is a one-party consent state to record a conversation, you might have a friendly conversation with him about and see if he will admit to his intent. Ask him to stop and if he does it again, then... Better would be to see if the warden would be willing to have a chat with him.

Could write him a letter that includes a copy of the hunter harassment statutes.
Politely request that he stop interfering with your hunting activities. Explain you would rather not include law enforcement but if he doesnt stop then that will be the next step.

Also next time you have someone hunt the field just stand or park by the road and let him see you video him acting like a idiot.

Like others stated it would be hard to prove. Although you know and the warden would know what he's doing it's one that would be hard to prove. Hopefully you could talk with him and get it to stop. But I'd be setting up cameras coming off the road and try to catch him if he's coming in there when y'all aren't.

When I was in highschool a buddy I hunted with had a guy do that every time we hunted my buddy's spot. The guy would drive by a bunch of times in his s10 and hold the clutch and rev it up. Finally my buddy had enough and I stayed sitting by the tree where he could see my orange and my buddy snuck down closer to the road. Once he came and turned around and came back to rev up my buddy had "something" pointed at him. Definitely wouldn't recommend it but it put a stop to it. We were young and dumb at the time.

I would hate to have one of my carpentry projects fall out of my truck on that road.

Thank you all for the replies. I would like to think a conversation would work…. But I've had problems with his dog coming to my yard wanting to fight my dog that has an electronic collar that keeps her on our property. I've had two conversations with him about it. After the second, it stopped for awhile, but now that dog is on the loose again. Nobody on the road gets along with him.
