I haven't heard one gobble this entire season. I've only seen one single hen by herself. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm set up perfectly. I'm in a good position to shoot em or see them. They just don't gobble back at me. So how do I get them to gobble and or come to me?

** I HAVE NOT AND WILL NOT GIVE UP YET, STILL ONE MORE MONTH LEFT**

Are there birds where you are hunting? Are you still seeing fresh tracks?

Persistence/ effort is the no 1 factor when it comes to killing turkeys, but there has to be a gobbler around to have a chance. There are parts of even TN that simply don't have birds. Should be some good public lands nearby, id go for a change of scenery if your Dad is willing to try them

As mega said, you first have to be where there are birds. There are places around here that you could sit for a month and might not see a turkey and others just a few miles away that there are several. I would try changing it up to other places if not seeing any sign (scratching, tracks, actual turkey) or hearing any.

Keep at it and good luck.

Eli, you remind me of another young fellow Ive watched grow to adulthood on the internet. I didn't used to post much here, posting instead on TnTurkey.com and we had a young kid there that posted as "goose17" that we all watched and hopefully guided into growing to adulthood. Poor goose was the poster child for needing guidance lol. He lost his gun TWICE that I know of while hunting! LOL. Then he joined the military and while deployed, I asked him how many M16s he left lost in the sandbox. LOL. He has turned into a fine, upstanding, responsible MAN now that last I heard is a county deputy. I Sincerely hope the same fate besets you in life!
