Is ND actually under rated? College football is way off this year, and I really feel like voters are grasping at straws trying to fill out a top 25 with teams that have no business being there. They have tried their best to prop up some teams who have no quality wins, squeakers or losses against low level opponents, and name-recognition teams are getting all of the love.

And then there's ND, the team that is consistently over rated every year, who is playing some quality opponents and beating everyone by a large margin. They will likely have one of the toughest schedules in college football at seasons end.

UGA needs ND to look strong. If so they would get in over them in the playoffs. Even with a loss to Bama .

I don't know how sound that logic is, although I agree that it SHOULD be correct. It depends on how the rest of the season shakes out. Also, recency bias has come into effect numerous times in past years' voting and bowl selections.
 
No way if UGA runs the table with their schedule and only loses to Bama hey don't get in. ND would have their one loss to non other than UGA.
 
On second thought, they really haven't beaten anyone noteworthy until yesterday. Their schedule gets much tougher during the second half of the season, NC State, Miami, Navy and Stanford all still ahead.

Disagree... defense is good. QB is playing smart and run game is good. Beat ND, Miss St and shut out TN on the road.
 
Yea but Trey, nobody ever in the history of college football is as good as this Bama team.

I know nobody is as good as Bama but to say UGA doesn't deserve 3rd is a little weird.

Yeah I'm waiting on PBD to respond and explain a little if he doesn't care. Lol and I'm not even a UGA fan.
 
Bammers are cocky and smug as can be, but unfortunately have reason to be until someone shuts them up. I don't know who deserves #3 right now, as it's Bama and everyone else. Penn State just beat their first ranked team (a mediocre at best UM), UGA has several weaknesses in spite of their large margins of victory (except for ND, who is turning out to be quite good), and who knows about Wisky and TCU. I really think that voters are having a hard time finding 25 deserving teams to put in the rankings each week, much less a deserving 10 through 2.
