Don't believe that.... I kno for a fact it will stay in the breast...Difference is you prolly wont see it like lead. #9s are very small.

My son shot one last year at 30 yds with the 1000fps reduced recoil tss 9s... I cutted right before the shot to get him to raise his head, he gobbled instead, and the bird took the full load right where the neck meets the body. Most passed through the breast, but there were enough remaining which made the tops of the breasts tricky to eat with the pellets that remained.

You can def break a tooth with the tss shot, not all pass through...

No problems with our other 6 birds, but they were shot between the waddles and head

I love my 12 in tss. Maybe overkill but I don't care. And I have not found any tss in the breast.
