I've never turkey hunted. But am going to give it a whirl I believe. I have a Browing 12ga with all the different chokes. I'm not going to go out and buy any new tubes this year. Which tube would you guys recommend for turkey? Also I bought some 3" 4 shot turkey shells from BP yesterday.

Full choke should be good, but if I were you I would for sure pattern it along with your others. See how the full does at 20 and 30 yards on a turkey head target.

Definitely get that thing out and shoot it on paper. Most of my shots have been where they should be but I did have an 835 that was WAY off. About 12" low at 30 yards. A red dot fixed that.

If the 4s don't work for you go to wally mart and get some Federal Turkey Thug #5 or #6. From the buzz that seems to be the easiest cheap ammo to pattern well.

If you put some type of optic on it, sight it in at ten yards with dove loads, then back up and shoot the turkey loads. Saves you some money and a shoulder.

I've got a whole box of REmington 3.5 6s if you are going to shoot lead and want to try them too. I think they are the nitro turkey.

Remington shells are so good they are giving them away!
