I know what's wrong with the vols

I've been an Alabama football fan for about 47 years, since we moved to Tennessee when I was a kid. I know some about vol football from living here since '67. I've got friends that have had family play for the vols, worked with ex-vols and such. Pick up quite a bit of info that isn't public information that way.

I have never seen a navy blue Alabama hat or a black one either. Haven't seen a Georgia anything that didn't have red or black on it. Kentucky stuff is blue. See where I'm going with this? You'd think with a fanbase that screams "go big orange" that their stuff would be orange. To say it's BS is a cop out.

I'll agree with your statement about being a Bama fan since they're hot is not tradition. But, that applies to all teams, the vols included.
 
Tennessee's baseball team has black in their uniform and a few years ago they had black hats to go along with the black accents in the uniforms. The Lady Vol softball and basketball teams have blue accents on their uniforms also. Football even had white shirts with orange numbers lined in black for their away uniforms for years. But you would already know this with your inside information.
 
The black was used to outline the orange numbers so people could SEE THE NUMBERS. It wasn't a fashion statement.

Inside information? Naw. I would be fine with being able to "unhear" things if that were possible. I'm not a vindictive guy.
 
The traditional fans will buy the orange an white items. The Power T will be orange regardless. All of that other stuff is being marketed and sold to get the attention of people like you who may not be a Vol fan yet.

UT has not strayed from tradition on the fooball field. They have always been orange and white in one configuration or another. Yes I know they wore the smokey greys twice last year. Gray is, how to say this, not a dominate school color but non the less a school color according to UT. Even then there was no doubt what team took the field.

A Vol is a Vol.

On another note, I'd say that traditionally, traditions evolve over time. Do you really think that Ole Miss has used the terms Hotty Toddy and Landshark since the early days of the program? I doubt it but ask students there and they say it's a tradition.

All teams have different colored apparel now days has nothing to do with tradition just a way to sell more merchandise. Wear what makes you happy and what you like. Doesn't matter what color as long as you are happy with it and you are supporting your team your way. Green is about as far away from Crimson as you can get but people still know it's an Alabama hat.
 
Might could make a Killin' selling those things outside of neyland next year after the vols lose driskel, I mean Worley. :)

your probably right. Or it could be an ole miss fan that is jealous because the vols have better coach.

There is nothing wrong with Hugh Freeze, in fact I personally think that Ole Miss should be Rank no lower than #2.
I was at that game Saturday, and they are a well coached team and are legit.
 
Yes Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss are legit this season. Nothing wrong with the coach or the team at all. They were ranked #3 and played like it. We are not ranked and played like it. Heck at least UT has fans that like them well enough to even make away games.

Vanderbilts fan won't even come to home games.

dude, u are making fun of one of the few Vandy fans. You are getting nowhere. You are wasting your breath. VANDY is the worst team in the history of the sec. And yes, they are the team I pull for. Why single me out? VANDY is gonna be the Vols big win this year.

Nope, don't feel stupid at all. I have never seen any of those, anywhere. Of course, I don't troll online catalogs for such things...
 
secstore.com click on Alabama hats. Work with a diehard 'bama fan and he has a black one so I knew someone had to have them; so I looked the place that I look for my TN gear no real diging or trolling involved.
