I really do hate TN weather sometimes

With those high temps it makes me think it's afternoon stuff. But with such high humidity the birds may not gobble. It's a dog***** forecast

:?: Where are you getting that forecast?

NWS only goes through Wednesday, but theirs isn't near as bad as that (it is for Lebanon also) :

Monday
A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. South wind around 10 mph.

Tuesday
A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76.

Wednesday
A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75.

Well looks like in my area least, the storms will roll through tomorrow afternoon..... maybe they will be vocal in the morning and the Mrs. and I can scratch one or two out before the bad weather get here....

For the most part I agree that I don't like hunting in the wind. Unless you're downwind of a gobbling bird you can't hear them. Buttttttt, I have had a couple of neat hunts where the wind was really howling and had a bird come out into the downwind side of a field. A few "loud as I could get" calls got his attention and he'd strut all the way across the field. Every time he'd open up his fan the wind would spin him around in circles and he'd spin his way all the way to the gun.

Personally the massive cold front on Friday/Saturday worries me more than warm rain. I loathe windy days and feel Saturday will be terrible.

On the positive side I hunt public land so it's fine with me if the first two weekends are a weather bust, after that the casuals will be done

Exactly how I feel. I wish every opening weekend would be crap weather. Dont matter if I kill one or not, it will have the wanna - be's at home. Usually after the first 10-12 days the fakes quit.
I'll hunt until tagged out or seasons end.

And I like it for my area. I honestly love hunting in the warm afternoon thunderstorm stuff.

Fellas, looks like we're good for the weekend. A bit chilly but no more rain. It will be pretty windy tomorrow morning though. I was debating whether to fish or hunt tomorrow, I think the cold front might slow down the fishing so looks like I'll be listening for that heart pumping gobble!
