I seriously have a sickness

This is my first season turkey hunting by myself. I'm a totally obsessed whitetail addict and I'm interested to see if I'lll get hooked on turkey hunting like I got hooked on deer hunting. Not sure my girlfriend will tolerate both.
 
I am off the first 2 weeks to hunt, unless the weather is bad then i will go into work and just move those days around.

Although my boss knows i have a turkey addiction so I just most mornings before work, he just knows i will be a tad late during the month of april.
 
I tend to miss a few mornings also. I tend to use vacation time, 4 hours at a time during turkey season. Usually use 3 or 4 days. Its mighty hard to go work when you walk out and its a perfect morning. Calm, cool, bright skies.

If you don't want another addiction then don't go. The first time you hear one gobble and see him in full strut you'll be hooked.

Someone asked about only hunting a few hours before school. I do it quite often when I don't take my kids to school. I'll be in the woods from a little after 5:00 until 7:00 or 7:30 then run back to the house, shower, and be at the office by 8:00 or 8:30. Killed several right after they hit the ground.
 
A few years ago, I'd dream about turkey hunting every night from February 1st till opening day. Hardly ever have dreams about it now though.

I'm sure u will be hooked and as far as she goes well mine hates seeing season roll around lol she knows I'll be in the woods all weekend. I think it kills her bc she just can't change the fact that I'm going turkey or deer hunting every weekend lol
