Found this on my farm when I was leveling the ground for a corral. Anyone know what it was used for? Thanks

Thanks, found on the Cumberland plateau. I also own hunting property near Catoosa. A creek runs through a deep ravine, and I'm told that UT archeology studens found lots of artifacts years ago. I found two old sifting boxes there, but only found some fragments so far.

I was gonna say, to me it looks like a fleshing tool used on hides. It doesn't have a bottom notch where it would be attached to a knife handle.
