IF we beat KY., will we be #1 in the BCS ...

This has been the most interesting seasons in the SEC I can remember....

TN is WAY better than anyone imagined.

GA is untested (except for Oregon). And the MO game leaves questions unanswered

KY is SOLID.. TN better not get ahead of themselves.. KY believes they can win

SC is better than expected

FL sucks, not often you can say that

In the west.

OLE MISS... horribly overrated. Didn't play a real game until last weekend at LSU

AL., solid. Not anywhere close as dominant as they have been in the past

LSU... perhaps the 2nd best team on the SEC...IF they beat AL (very possible)

MS State... good team, bad luck.

ARK... good team, but a bit overrated. Inconsistent play from QB position.

I suppose it's the decline of AL that has led to the uncertainty of who is the best in the SEC at the moment... but at this point, I would probably pick LSU as best in the west and TN/GA (tossup) as best in the east...

Been a FUN year to be an SEC fan, and don't want to jinx the Vols... but they have a real shot.
.

Kentucky worries me , Vols are due a bad game.
Quit that Pruitt talk now... I get what you're saying though. So many years we've watched the other shoe drop. It's hard to trust this year is different. I decided after the LSU game to be confident and have hope. Going to stick with that mindset. It makes watching the games a lot more fun as well as the week leading up to it.

This is something I've been thinking about too. Seems every team will have at least one of those games during the season. So far TN has been pretty dominant, scoring at will, and not hurried at all. I hope they can keep their composure throughout the rest of the season, and as Heupel says, keep it fun.

I agree with everything you said.
I haven't watched LSU so my doubt of that one statement is not warrented as I am not familiar with them that much.

Excellent post. I can't argue with any of it.

But, the first rankings do come out next Tuesday, I think, and if we win Saturday, our resume would be deserving of being #1.

While I did think that we were deserving, I did not think it would happen.

Now, IF we lose a close one Saturday, do we stay in the top 4?

My heart says we stay in even if we lose. My experience with these polls wouldn't surprise me if we dropped to 5-6 just so they can prove a point. I hope they win just so I can watch David Pollack wine and make excuses. Out of all the "experts" I can't stand that dude.

He played for Ga, whaddya expect? 😂

They will drop TN down to 8 or 9 if they lose.
All the attention will go to the winner of ohio state and michigan.

Gonna have to win out.

Yeah that was exaggerated a bit but they will definitely be out of the top 4.
Anyone that believes Alabama is the 6th best team is crazy as well.
Shake them up in any order and the three top teams are TN, Georgia and Alabama.
Period.
