im a spurvert...are you?

I wasn't going to post any pics as that's my not my style, but here's one of my strings of spurs that has some pretty good ones on it including several that are 1.5".

No idea what my biggest were. They have all gone in the trash. I do have a few fans and beards on the wall.

I do have one set on the wall (with a fan and beard) that was 1 3/8", I believe. The only reason I kept them was the GW at the check station on the WMA was talking about how good they were for that area.

Those are nice defiantly some old birds. Thanks for sharing I like seeing the way folks display there trophies.I see a set that would send a man to the doctor if them was to get into a leg! I think my best one is 1&3/16

There's a set of nasty jet black ones on that particular string that left me with a nice scar on my right hand and a torn pant leg.

Nice bird! Those hooks look more like what I'm use to seeing on Osceolas. Friends dad killed a Osceola years back with identical measurements, best I have ever personally seen. My best Osceola had 1.5" and my best Eastern 1 7/16". That's a heck of a bird THCConstrution, definitely one to be proud of.

I've always sworn I was going to get one mounted but never have, it's not like my house is game poor but I do need a turkey to go along with the absurd number of deer mounts which has gotten totally out of hand. Btw anyone need a deer mount let me know, lol.

If I was getting one mounted it wouldn't make any difference how big or small it was, spurs are really hard to highlight on a mount and the bird draws the most eye appeal, mostly the head with the coloration. Also, it's hard to find anyone local who does even a mediocre job with turkey taxidermy
 
My dad takes caste of my taxidermy work he has done a few turkeys the next good turkey with either big spurs or multi beards I want to do this mount.
