My wife has been watching me shoot my bow for the last several years. She's watched the archery ministry take off. She's seen me working with our 4 year old and his bow.

Today the kids were playing Wii Resort. Archery being the thing to do around our house was of course the big hit. My wife gets into the act. Glances sideways at me and says, "you know I would really like to learn to do this..." I said "you are" she rolls her eyes and says "no!....I mean for real"

We get Lil' Luke's Brave III out and she hits the target. Hands it to me and informs me she wants one. Looks like this is going to be a family affair.

Anybody got a LH bow or three lying around?...
 
No but my wife loves it! Has pink zebra nugent aarows, with pink zebra blazers.

I wish my wife would give archery a try. She is all girl and although she enjoys venison has zero desire to do anything related to hunting. I explained to her she could do archery for fun...it's not all about hunting. She has no desire. It's probably cause she gets annoyed with me shooting all the time.

I think she's of the mind that if you can't beat them join them....

Your wife sounds like my wife to a "T". She won't leave the house without her hair, makeup, or nails done. She tells me the other women out there are going to be done up, and if she wants me to keep my eyes on her she'd best make sure she's done up too. I love my wife....

Amen. Love my wife too :)

I have to be honest I wouldn't want my wife to change a thing. Just me personally but I don't have any desire to have a woman that hunts and fishes with me. That is my escape time or time to hang with the guys. Just as she wouldn't want me to go shopping with her or go get my nails done lol...that's her time.
 
Amen utgrad. I had a lady friend that wanted yo hunt and fish with me constantly the first few times fun but after that it got to were I couldn't go with out her needless yo say it didn't end well
 
Eric, you're a lucky man�I would love it if my wife would take it up.....to say I'm jealous is an understatement.

I feel that once the kids are able to seriously shoot and we start going to the ASA's as a family she'll get sucked in.

I could no agree more. We're working on the team concept and figure that by the first of the year we will be putting 10 to 12 archers into competitions. Fingers crossed that's the goal.

She's already getting pulled in. She's being cautious, and I'm quieting her fears and concerns. Anyone on here that is left hand shoots with glasses and has an astigmatism, your input would be appreciated!

UTGrad...She has no desire to hunt. Too much of a girl! Besides she doesn't like me very much when I don't get into the woods. She's already looking at the calendar wanting to know when deer season is.

My wife likes it, just had a custom pink and brown string put on her bow and a pink peep sight to girly it up a little
 
Have to say it seems quite a few females are get'n into archery, seen a young lady walk'n out of a outdoors store a while back with a handful of arrows.

by look'n at her you wouldve never guessed she was a bow hunter, serious cute with her blonde hair,painted nails & baby doll face.

Talk about a prospect for some young man, looks & she bow hunts, I bet she would even wash the 4 wheel drive, what more could a fellow want.

Sounds about like the Duck Dynasty episode I saw last night. Just so long as she doesn't wipe down with doe estrus she'll be fine :whistle: !
