INDUSTRIOUS RACCOON - Every year I save a few duck carcasses (after I've removed the breasts for us to eat). I secure a few carcasses to trees near the #simmscabin with trail cameras watching to see what forest creatures enjoy the remains of my ducks. What follows is just one 8-hour stretch when one industrious raccoon claimed two mallards as his (or her) own for the entire night - 11 pm to 7 am. This is about 34 total minutes of 15-sec. video clips, sped up, time-lapsed and condensed into 3 mins. and 50 secs. I slowed a couple of segments back to normal speed - when Rocky Raccoon got tired and took a nap. If you've never watched a raccoon yawn and stretch after waking up from a nap, watch around the 1:10 mark. And I resumed normal speed at the end when a wily fox ran Rocky off, but was too wily to partake of the ducks himself. I love watching little hidden glimpses of nature. I consider these crude little clips my own personal Nat Geo segments. I hope you enjoy as well. More clips or pics to come later. #WheresRichard
