I've shot both the CPX and CPXL and both are exceptional. They have an exceptionally smooth draw cycle for the cams being so aggressive. The back wall is rock solid. The speed is teriffic, but the bow is a pleasure to shoot and not nearly as critical as I thought it would be. I will have one in a tree this season for sure!

Nate17 if you are close to the Chattanooga area you could stop by my shop and shoot any of this years Bowtech's. I have a Insanity CPX on 64lbs and shoots so smooth for a 6" brace height.

If you shoot one, you'll go into heat. I shot the CPX and the CPXL today. The speed is great but I was really impressed with the draw cycle, especially the CPXL. Neither one dumps off into the wall as drastically as other speed bows I've shot.
Where is the shop located? I thought most all locals weren't dealing in BowTech anymore. I would at least like to go shoot one or coon finger it.

Taylor's Archery and Outdoors is Tullahoma is where I shot both. I know they have some coming in pretty consistantly, but you may want to call to verify that they have what you're looking for before making the drive. They are selling pretty quick!
Go shoot one then buy one off Archery Talk for about 1/2 price. I purchased a new Bowtech last year. I can see a new bow purchase next year but it won't be a Bowtech.

I agree with you, you can get a bow plenty capable to take down any game in NA for much cheaper.
