Iron bowl 2

Bama needed that after tumbling some in the last part of the season against unprecedented competition.

Nothing like beating you biggest rival on their home court with a sprinkle of overtime.

Oats has done pretty well after losing three players this season due to injury including the best three-point shooter and the best perimeter defender.

I have YouTubeTV set to record all SEC games, so when I checked the score late Saturday, i watched the last 6 mins or so and the OT.,

Very entertaining game as expected.

What is even more entertaining is the Twitter feud between the fanbases..

So, do I have it right in that an Auburn player elbowed a Bama player in the head; and also Nelson did the karate kid flamingo pose or whatever, prompting Pearl to lose it and do it on the sideline wanting a taunting foul called?

Bama receivers started doing it a few years ago. Called it The Crimson Crane.
It was a good rivalry game.

The refs reviewed the taunting. In the video, Nelson does the crane but is looking at his teammates. The Auburn player happens to be right in front of him so it makes it a close call. I think it was a good no-call.

The Auburn player that was ejected was reviewed earlier in this Bama game when he hit the same Bama player in the face but refs viewed it as going for the ball. (It is why the Bama player has a Band-Aid on his face.) I thought at first that it was incidental contact but not so much after I saw the replay. I can see giving him the benefit of the doubt and calling it a common foul. (Can't find a video.)

The Auburn player is a very good player but has a bad reputation over the course of his career. He was called for a flagrant-one for hitting a Bama player in the face in the previous matchup. I wouldn't be surprised if he has some type of mental issue looking at some of his nice guy/bad guy actions; either that or he is just plain dirty. He was ejected from the NCAA tournament game last season that Auburn lost.
