Haven't bought any before and have only used the "old school" kind which seem to have plenty of issues after several years of use regardless of brands. I'm seeing a lot of cameras for $50-60 which has me concerned because I'm from a world where expensive typically means better but my $100+ Brownings haven't exactly been the best things either. What is out there that you guys would swear by? Thanks.

You wont get a consensus on anything around here. You will get personal experience with what people use. I went through this last year and went with Browning cameras. I have overall been pleased with them.

As Remington700 said, you will get personal experience. So here is mine. I have run Moultrie Edge cameras the last couple of years. I like some things about them....ease of setup for one. However, I will be switching before next season. Just too many little things going wrong. Shutter speed is just too slow, for one. I've attached a video from the other day that should've had a buck in it for several seconds, but it barely got him. This is the rule, not the exception.
One of my cameras had the infrared flash keep going out on it, which meant nothing but black videos at night. When they work the Edges are solid. But I wish I had spent more money on something of better quality.
Here is a video showing the slow shutter speed. This deer should've triggered the camera several feet before he did.

Moultrie edge is what I use. And have been really happy with them.
I made a similar post in the trail cam thread and there are some really good responses.

I have used and am still using moultrie non cell cams, have used them for years. I wouldn't be at all afraid to use their cell cameras, but i am using stealth cell cameras. I put my first one out three years ago, and overall been pretty happy with that one. I put out two more stealth cell cameras this year, I have a 4th one I haven't used yet. No issues or complaints at all with the second one, the third is a revolver unit, and it has had some issues that I will be sending it back for after season is over. We'll see how they handle warranty and repair on it. If they make it right I will give them a great review, but i can't yet.

Have dozens of cellular trail cams up right now. Tactacam has the best track record. Easily sets up for initial use. Great customer service.
I have reconxy crazy expensive all the way down to spypoint. All of them lack IMHO to Tactacam

I like my tactacams and I love their app out of the ones I've used the best.
I've been really pleased with Tactacam so far. Bought a few more to put out after season. I also run several Meidase. The cameras are great, the app is ehhh...but overall, I've been pleased and the price is right.

Yes, they are set at the most sensitive setting.
This is the first year of using cell trail cams for me and my dad.
I won't be going back to the old style except the offseason.
I first got two of the Spypoint Flex-M.
Then, dad saw an ad for a pair of Moultrie Edges. These are not the new ones, but the model previous. So, we got two of these as well.
All four have worked great for just pics, and the battery life has been great as well. We just ran them for a couple of months, and will reactivate them next fall. Each has a monthly fee of around $10/mo.
Unless you want the best of the best, either one should work for you. I was worried about poor cell reception, but they work off of several carrier towers and lock in on the best reception at that location.
I thought of two things that gives the Edge an advantage. One, the Spypoint requires a microSD card, which did not come with them. Not sure why. Also, the Edge allows you to download 5 videos with the standard plan. I think the Spypoint costs more to do so. I just do pics, so it didn't matter.
