I bought an old high country bow off a guy last year for a fixer upper and the ploblem is it is eating the serving up on the idler wheel. It is a split limb bow and when you look at the top limbs it looks like one is higher than the other. It has a floating yoke cable system on it.
Anyway the guy put an inch shorter string on it to fit his draw length. So for me to be able to shoot the thing I am going to have to put a new string and cable on it.
So here is my question!

If I order a new string and a static yoke cable system will I be able to put some twist into the side of the limb that is higher and pull it down to match the other limb? and will this help clear up the serving wear problem?

Thanks!

You will be able to put twists in one side to help idler lean. If you twist the side that's high it should straighten out. Is your idler leaning bad. Draw the bow and look to see if the sting is coming off the idler straight at full draw. If its leaning real bad it may be causing the wear. Also, look and see if you can see any burs or anything around the wheel. I would also get the string and cable length that the bow calls for and change the cam or module to get the draw length if I had to.
