Sounded more like a sneeze to me.
It's some version of it, yes. More like. Snort snort without the wheeze

I think so. He was bullying the little guys without being too hard on them.
I would go with sneeze or fart. I've done both several times today.

Agree with this. Have heard deer sneeze before. Actually had a doe sneeze right behind us during the juvenile hunt and it had my son laughing.

I've seen/herd deer sneeze quite often. That is not a sneeze.

100% snort wheeze. Hair bristlled up and ears back.

That's a buck "sniff" according to my app of deer calls. And this is the definition the app gives:
