Richard English raises whitetails in Ohio. His deer, Flag, was gentle and sweet and wouldn't hurt a fly----- until the rut. Richard said he would never go across the fence during the rut because as tame as Flag was, he would see him as competition and most likely try to kill him.
This man in the story has just made it easier for that deer to be killed by a hunter.

Although I don't agree with making a deer a pet I would never shoot one with a collar. Be kind of like shooting a goat to me.


x3. can't understand why anyone would get any satisfaction from an animal that has no fear of man.
