I am watching a video where a guy is wanting to kill a Polar Bear with a bow so they have to run this thing with dogs till it gets so tired it lays down. Then he walks up about 15 yards from the bear lying on the ground with a pack of dogs around it and shoots the bear. What the heck! I'm all about hunting that gives the quarry a chance as well as the opportunity for meat for the family, but some of this stuff is ridiculous. My first harvest was a squirrel in the yard with a Daisy pump. I was so proud I brought it inside to show my dad who was an avid hunter. He was upset that I popped this squirrel for fun, so he taught me a lesson and skinned it in the kitchen and he cooked it up with fried okra.

Some of this hunting for TV and video is ridiculous with no challenge. Let's pop a pronghorn on an open prarie next to a water tank. Let's pop a polar bear where he is worn out from the dogs and just laying on the ground. Let's pop a black bear over a bait station.

i support ALL LEGAL methods of hunting.

As long as its legal then Im ok with it. Hunting a water source is the same as hunting an oak flat or food plot or corn pile. Just had to stirr the pot a little.

I agree completely with you and I'm not a fan of that type of hunting, but I've come to realize that different regions of the world have different traditions and forms of hunting than others, and if it's legal and affective, then I try not to worry about it.
