It's Game Day!!!!!!

Over on my go to TN board ( ;) :D ) the comments are gold!! And especially after they came back to win. :rotf:

IU crapped the bed late in the game to give that one away. But congrats to JG for making plays late.

That's interesting to me. No doubt IU should have won being up 13 in the 4th, but where did they crap the bed?
If anything our defense did in the second half to let them build that lead.

They didn't start turning the ball over? That kick the kid missed would have been a career long after he was iced by his team, our team & the refs, so I can't fault him for missing a 52 yarder. Maybe the face mask penalty on J Palmer?
Our offense finally showed some bit of life and we were able to put up a whopping 14 points and our defense didn't allow them to score again, much like it did all through the first half. The onside kick was the best one I've seen in college or pro ball all season & not a gutsy call, but a bit unexpected. That didn't really have anything to do with IU crapping the bed.

IU should have won, but UT won that game as much as IU lost it.

He REALLY makes me scratch my head at times but I stand fully behind Pruitt. I still swear at him on my screen a few times here and there. I just really hope we don't have to watch another full season of JG being the starter. Aint he like a 10th year junior? Dude has been here forever

I, for one, can honestly say I have never googled or been to a gator board :tu:

But I fully understand why people hang around ours cause it rocks!! I see that a lot from opposing fan bases that post there regularly

I am happy for JG. He has had his highest of highs and lowest of low's in the same game. I agree that he gave us the best chance to win that game, and he did it. BUT, he is so hard to watch. He is so inconsistent, so slow releasing the ball.

College football is my favorite sport to follow, by far. I am already looking forward to next fall. Go Vols.

Pruitt on JG!

My coach always told me to keep shooting :D !

Well, I played for a high school basketball coach. If you shot a shot and you missed it and you wasn't the first one back on defense, he took you out of the game. I learned at an early age if I was going to shoot it I'd better at least get back fast on defense, right. The way I look at quarterbacks, Jarrett didn't play good. You know, I have lots of confidence in him, but he didn't play good, and if you don't play good, we've got other good players behind him. We put Brian in. Brian didn't play good. Probably threw three plays that should have been intercepted and they kicked a field goal, you know. It's part of it. Nobody is entitled to anything around here. We have to earn it, earn every bit of it. Jarrett knows it, Brian knows it, everybody that's associated with our program knows it.

Let me tell you, Jarrett, he's got thick skin, OK. He's been through the wars. He knows the expectations that we have, that he has for himself. So sometimes as a quarterback it helps to go over there and watch it from the sideline for a couple of series, you know. Maybe you see a little something that you didn't see before, you kind of gather yourself, get your composure, figure out what I need to do to play better, and that's what we did. It's really no secret.

When the game was on the line, that's who we wanted in the game. You know what? He came through. He came through, like he has the last six games.

Better be glad the fans didn't have a say so who should be playing QB, bcse JG wouldn't have been the guy most of the year. ;) :D
