So….. I state a fact and it's called coat tailing???
We're just helpin you stay fit!As an Arkansas fan living in TN I disagree with this. I see so much Orange it makes me puke
I rarely see Tennessee car flags unless I'm near the venue where the game is being played or traveling to Knoxville for a game (Big Orange Caravan on I-40). Most Tennessee fans wear their T shirts whether they are doing well or not. To imply Tennessee fans only support their team when they are winning is just false. Sure, they are more likely to buy a new decal or license plate during the good times, but Tennessee fans are loyal no matter what the record. For 20+ years the football team had very limited success and the fans still supported them.I see tons of car flags and T-shirts from Tennessee fans when they are doing well.
This is certainly true. The Steeler fans are rabid. The Cowboy fans are almost as bad.In addition to the flags and shirts, Alabama fans typically have decals on their vehicles, tattoos and even paint jobs that proclaim their fandom that aren't easily removed/taken down. Pittsburgh Steelers fans are a lot like Bama fans, you never see just a car-flag on a Steelers fan's vehicle. It often has multiple decals that take up the entire windshield and a matching paintjob.
I know in Tipton County where you and I live, the last year or two I see a fraction of the alabama license plates I used to see, and I see 10 times as many Georgia license plates as I saw 3 years ago. Did all those bama fans switch to Georgia when they started winning? Or did the bama fans remove their license plates and the Georgia fans put theirs on? I don't know. I can understand why an alabama fan living in the great state of Tennessee would remove his plate since it's been 511 days since alabama has defeated Tennessee in football.I do know some people will cheer for whoever is winning but for the most part people are loyal to their team.
I remember back in 08 when Alabama started winning it seemed like Bama fans came out of the woodwork and was everywhere. We've always had a few Bama fans in this area but the number jumped up quick. Now I have saw more Georgia plates than I use to.I know in Tipton County where you and I live, the last year or two I see a fraction of the alabama license plates I used to see, and I see 10 times as many Georgia license plates as I saw 3 years ago. It's 220 days until The Third Saturday in October!
So the Georgia plates aren't my imagination. You're seeing them too. I hate to tell you but the 3rd Saturday in October just means another bama loss! If they couldn't beat Tennessee with 5 foot 5 inch Bryce Young and all the other draft picks they surely won't beat them with replacements.I remember back in 08 when Alabama started winning it seemed like Bama fans came out of the woodwork and was everywhere. It also seems like some of the Tennessee fans have got their swag back out of the closet.
I'm sure alot of it has to do with the fan base being more energized and excited for football.

ANYBODY but Bama!
